Call for Contributors
Do you have a passion for comics, s.f./fantasy, anime/manga, movies, gaming, toys, and fan/pop culture in general?
The Mighty Mighty MOC-BLOG, the official blog of Mid-Ohio-Con 2008, is seeking writers and guest bloggers to contribute original content such as articles, features, reviews, interviews, and even regular columns. We are also looking for illustrators and cartoonists to contribute one-off or serialized cartoons for a weekend comics feature.
Whether you're an established pro in print- or web-based publishing or a talented amateur who loves to write or draw about the kinds of things the MOC universe is all about, and you're interested in contributing to the MOC-BLOG, please contact Bill Henry immediately at w.henry@gcxholdings.com.
At present we can't offer to pay you (as with most web-based publications, we're not getting paid ourselves), but by way of reciprocity we can offer the following:
- We will, of course, give you a prominent byline, contributor bio, and plug of your other work or publications.
- We will add your name and online location to our permanent Universe links list.
- If you have print publications, we will add thumbnail cover images to our permanent Pull List feature (right-hand sidebar on the blog main page).
- And, most important, we will publish your work in a forum that connects you to the robust and rapidly growing online and real-world community of Mid-Ohio-Con, one of America's longest-running and most successful comic book and pop-culture conventions, attended last year by more than 5,000 people.
Last but not least, we can promise to keep producing a good-looking, entertaining, informative blog where you can always be proud to see your name and work appear.
As we grow the Mid-Ohio-Con experience, and with it the Mighty Mighty MOC-BLOG, we have some big plans for the near future, so now's a good time to jump aboard. The more contributors, the more readers, the more community we can build, the bigger and better this experience gets for everyone involved.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Bill Henry
